Q: What is Mobile Banking?

A: Mobile Banking is a small software program called Mobile Finance Manager (MFM) that resides directly on your SmartPhone enabled mobile device such as a cell phone or pocket organizer with SmartPhone capability. With Mobile Banking you can perform the most important functions of our computer-based online banking.

Q: What services are available?

A: A Mobile Banking user can perform the majority of tasks they would perform on their computer. These include the ability to view account balances, view transaction history, transfer funds between accounts, and even pay bills*. Mobile Banking also gives you a dedicated e-mail program that connects directly to the financial institution.

Q: How is security handled?

A: Mobile Banking communicates with the financial institution's server via using the Online Financial Exchange protocol. This is the same system that is used by Intuit's Quicken software, and Microsoft Money. On the mobile device, the account is protected by Multi-Factor Authentication.

Your userID and password are identical to your online account. All communication is encrypted by industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption preventing cell phone scanning or other attempts to eaves-drop on a transmission. The secure e-mail program is not accessible from outside the financial institution's server, and is thus immune from spamming, spoofing or phishing.

Q: How do I start using Mobile Banking?

A: You must have a compatible mobile phone and data service. You may wish to call your mobile carrier if you are unsure whether you have the needed service and whether you can install software on your model of phone. This is also a good time to check on the fees your carrier will charge you for data services. If you already e-mail on your phone, then you probably already have the needed service.

Simply login to e-Access and click on "Go Mobile with your credit union" banner. Once you click on the banner, click on the "Getting Started" link at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: Normal Internet data service charges will apply and will be charged by your mobile carrier. Call your mobile carrier to ensure you have a data service plan appropriate to your needs before downloading and installing the Mobile Finance Manager (MFM) software.
